Track Description
Digital health technologies, including generative and agentic AI systems, analytics, IoT, digital twins, telehealth, mobile health, and platform-based services, are reshaping healthcare delivery and patient engagement globally. This track examines how organisations, communities, practitioners, and patients leverage these innovations to create trustworthy, integrated, and patient-centred health services that improve patient experience, health outcomes and clinical safety, enhance population health, lower per capita costs, and improve the work-life of health care providers.
From deploying autonomous agentic AI to embedding generative AI, wearable devices, and remote monitoring tools, digital transformation is reshaping healthcare across prevention, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and rehabilitation, management, and self-care. Mobile health applications, telehealth services, and real time data analytics enable more coordinated, personalised, and data driven care. These developments expand stakeholder agency, supporting patients in self-management and informed decision making, while augmenting clinicians’ diagnostic, therapeutic, and administrative capabilities.
At the same time, these advances introduce significant challenges, including ethical concerns around AI autonomy and decision authority, questions of accountability in human-AI collaboration, data privacy and security risks, and the social and cultural implications of reconfiguring clinical and administrative practices. Issues of equity, health literacy, digital literacy, and access to digital health further shape how these technologies are adopted and experienced across diverse populations.
We welcome submissions from academia, industry, and government that address current trends and challenges in digital health innovation. We encourage empirical, conceptual, design science, and simulation-based research that advances both Information Systems theoretical and practical contributions, particularly in relation to human-AI interaction, stakeholder agency, and the ethical design and governance of intelligent health systems.
