He is a founding Director of William Bethwey & Associates and an internationally recognised thought leader in strategic and architectural transformation.
Zainab Bloomfield ACS Learning & Development
Zainab Bloomfield leads learning and development portfolio at the ACS. With experience in software development and instructional design, she creates engaging and impactful learning programs across various ICT domains, from foundational skills to leadership topics. Zainab is a Certified Professional with ACS, dedicated to delivering exceptional learning experiences.
Abstract
In today’s digital age, every business is inherently a tech business. ACS’ Code of Professional Ethics drives ethical and professional member behaviours and decision-making across rapidly changing technology environments. Emerging technologies present new ethical challenges, such as AI bias and data privacy. ACS is committed to fostering ethical development in technology and providing resources to equip professionals to navigate these complex issues.

Regulating AI: A Global Policy is Needed Before National Policies
Arash (Ash) Najmaei is a seasoned senior analyst and research strategist with over 15 years of experience working across various agencies. Ash has a proven track record of assisting brands and organisations in growing domestically and internationally by leveraging data-driven insights. Prior to joining the CT Group, Ash served as the Associate Director of Advanced Analytics at Kantar and has served as the Head of the Analytics team at House of Brand Group and as a Senior Insights Manager in multiple boutique agencies.
Abstract
This session will explore the challenges of uncoordinated AI regulation through a compelling case study, highlighting the risks of fragmented policies and the impact on business practices. This example illustrates the salience of a unified global approach and conclude with a call to action, urging stakeholders to advocate for collaborative efforts that can establish consistent, ethical, and effective AI standards worldwide.
Dr Vanessa Rauland – National Climate Director – Industry Capability Network
From procurement support to climate capability: How ICN is evolving during the critical decade.
Vanessa is a climate and sustainability specialist, as well as an entrepreneur, researcher/academic, author and regular public speaker. She has dedicated her career to addressing climate change and highlighting the benefits of a low carbon economy.
Abstract
Industry Capability Network was initially established to provide procurement services to support local businesses gaining better access to work opportunities. This included enhancing their capability to ensure they satisfy the rigorous information requirements from project proponents. Increasingly, this includes sustainability and climate information, leading to the development of new climate services to ensure SMEs remain competitive in the transition to a net zero economy.
Ms Helen McHugh – President ACS
Helen is the President of the ACS with a passion for the ICT Profession. Her enthusiasm is infectious and is valued for a can-do attitude which has delivered Programs and Projects in large Federal Government Agencies. Her career has contributed to the success of policy strategies in Federal Government Service Delivery Objectives in senior roles advising corporate leaders.
