ACIS 2023 Conference Awards

ACIS 2023 offers a range of awards for high quality research, reviewing, and community leadership. In some cases, where the decision is very close, runners-up may also be awarded. These will be announced at the conference dinner and awards ceremony.

A list of ACIS 2023 recognitions and awards (awards for runners-up may be made at the discretion of the program chairs) follows.

Best full paper

Best full paper across a range of criteria including rigour, novelty, interest, and impact

Best short paper

Best short paper across a range of criteria, including rigour, novelty, interest, and potential for future development

Best theory paper

Best contribution on a theoretical, philosophical or methodological topic

Kit Dampney Prize (Best ACIS Education Paper)

Best paper (short or full papers are eligible) on an education-related topic

Best poster SLAM entry

Overall best poster SLAM entry with greatest potential for future development

Best reviewer

 

Most insightful, valuable, and developmental review

Best track

Best track organization across a range of criteria, including attracting high quality submissions, managing the review process, and presenting interesting and well-supported sessions

ACIS participants are also urged to consider making nominations (self-nominations are accepted) for AAIS (Australasian Association for Information Systems) awards. Details and eligibility criteria are available at:  https://aaisnet.org/awards-prizes/  Note that many of these awards cover papers published in the previous calendar year, so papers submitted to ACIS 2023 may not be eligible for consideration for the 2023 AAIS awards.
