Help to shape the field, mentor others, stay current, and increase your visibility and leadership in the community. There are plenty of opportunities at ACIS for MCRs. Apart from engaging with the conference itself, through submission presentation and attendance at sessions, see Call for Papers, form up and submit panel proposals and workshop proposals. Consider also attending the IS Disciplinary Forum to influence the strategic direction of the field of IS or simply have your say about developments. While this suggestion is available to everyone in the IS community, but if you are an MCR you probably have some definite opinions about the field. Consider sharing them through a submission to the Provocations Track. Don’t forget to attend the Ancillary Meetings as well in order to contribute to academic governance and policy shaping.
