Natalie Hardwick Best Student Award

The Natalie F. Hardwicke Best Student Paper Award, established in 2019 by the Hardwicke Family Trust in memory of Natalie Hardwicke, recognizes exceptional PhD student publications that demonstrate innovative, “box-breaking” research in Information Systems. The award provides a $1500 prize and is open to current PhD students or recent graduates within one year of completion from Australasian universities, with papers published or accepted within the 12 months prior to nomination.

The judging panel evaluates submissions based on three key criteria that honour Natalie’s academic traits: curiosity and strong problematization, independent reflective thinking, and challenging orthodoxies through innovative research. The award is administered by the Australasian Association for Information Systems (AAIS).
