There are plenty of keynotes, workshops, panels, networking opportunities, ancillary meetings and a range of other Events with academic papers organised into sixteen Tracks at a packed ACIS 2025 Program.
While at ACIS2025 please take on the following Health Advice. It applies to our domestic travellers to Moreton Bay as well as to overseas visitors.

ACIS2025 occurs in the first week of Summer in Australia. It will be hot and potentially humid in Queensland at this time. The average temperatures are predicted to be between 21°C – 28°C (approx. 70°F – 83°F). With a predicted 24 dry days and 7 rainy days and an expectation of 150mm in Queensland during the month of December, there is a possibility of rain while attending ACIS. It’s a good idea to bring along your umbrella so that you don’t get caught out.

The UV index will be high at this time of year, so protection against skin and eye damage is needed. Try to limit exposure to UV between 10am and 4pm. Apply broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every few hours, even if it’s cloudy. It’s available in supermarkets and chemists everywhere in Australia. Wear UV-blocking sunglasses while outside.

If you are travelling to Australia from an overseas country, remember that jet lag can be considerable, so the suggestion is to arrive a day early to acclimatise to the date/time differences.

If you develop COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue), isolate in your accommodation, wear a mask if leaving your room, and avoid conference activities. Rapid antigen tests are available at Australian pharmacies. Consider virtual participation options.
