Call for Workshops/Workshop Submissions

Call for Workshops

The Australasian Conference on Information Systems 2025 is offering several special interest workshops during the conference. We invite the IS community to submit workshop proposals in areas of Information Systems research and its current landscape, especially those related to the conference theme of “The State of the Information Systems Discipline: Challenges and Opportunities”, aiming to explore the impact of digital technologies in the academy, workplace, society and culture – looking into the evolving opportunities and challenges.

We plan to, as far as possible, give early feedback to workshop organisers about their format and similar workshop proposals and enable them to consider mergers (or fine-tuning to make workshops more distinct) ahead of time. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions or raise any issues you may have.

The decision to accept/reject workshop proposals will be made by the Workshop and Panel Co-Chairs in consultation with the Conference and Program Co-Chairs. The number of workshops will be governed by space limitations. The organisers of the accepted workshops will be responsible for the reviewing process and publicity (e.g., website and call for papers), where relevant, and will need to cooperate closely with the Workshop and Panel Co-Chairs and the ACIS 2025 local organisers to finalise all operational details.

Workshop Submissions

Workshops are typically partial- or full-day sessions that facilitate discussion and exploration of ideas, techniques, and methodologies that advance research, teaching knowledge of IS-related concepts, or products from industry and their application to academia, educational curricula, or industry practice.

Please submit your Workshop idea by the Workshop Submission Deadline by completing the ACIS 2025 Workshop Template and submitting it in the online form below. Alternatively, contact acis@aaisnet.org for further enquiries or assistance.
