The ACIS Attendance Scholarship is established by AAIS to assist research students (Honours or PhD) from Australian, New Zealand, and Oceanic universities with costs to attend the Australasian Conference on Information Systems and present their accepted papers. The scholarship specifically targets students meeting equity criteria including Indigenous Australasians, those from rural/remote regions, or those lacking university financial support, with the goal of increasing diversity among Information Systems scholars.
Benefits include conference registration, up to $1,500 in expense reimbursement for face-to-face conferences, and free one-year AIS student membership, with applications due by early November each year and requiring supervisor support letters and conference acceptance documentation.
Please note: no scholarship will be awarded in 2025. AAIS has decided to assist with two workshop support and travel stipends for the Pacific Information Systems Workshop in 2025.
