It is prudent to periodically challenge conventional wisdom and accepted practices.
Following on from the launch of the provocations section of the Australasian Journal of Information Systems, we are pleased to formally launch the Provocations Track as the Australasian Conference of Information Systems. A ‘provocation’ is a provocative yet generative and well substantiated paper that is designed to challenge conventional thinking and provoke thought among its audience. It aims to push boundaries, disrupt the status quo, and stimulate new ways of thinking.
Selection Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated solely by the track chairs and their assessment will be based on the interestingness of the topic, breadth of appeal, quality of the argumentation and expected impact of the provocation to generate immediate engagement and subsequent research.
Submission Procedure
Provocation submissions must use the ACIS 2024 template and should be no more than 8 pages in length (including references). Please submit your panel proposals via the ACIS 2025 submission portal.
